Installation and connection
To ensure the correct installation of the Ethernet adapter, please follow the steps below
1. Shut down the computer
2. Disconnect the power cable
3. Remove the computer cover and locate the idle PCI-E (X8, X16) bus expansion slot
4. Remove the slot cover plate (if any) by removing the screws or loosening the lever
5. Grip the top edge of the Ethernet adapter and firmly insert it into the card slot
6. Use existing screws or tie bars to re-secure the Ethernet adapter's mounting bracket
7. Close the main unit cover, plug in the cable, and turn on the computer
8. Plug in the optical module and fiber cable
Fault handling methods
1. The Link indicator light does not illuminate after the optical module is inserted
★ Is the server turned on?
★ Is the Ethernet adapter properly inserted into the PCI-E bus expansion slot?
★If it still cannot be used normally, it may be due to dirt, sweat stains, or other contaminants on the gold fingers of the card, causing poor contact between the card and the motherboard slot. Cleaning the gold fingers with a rubber eraser usually resolves the issue and allows normal use;
★Whether the optical module is inserted correctly, only when it is inserted correctly, the Link indicator light will be lit;
★ If the issue remains unresolved, please contact the after-sales service department for assistance;
2. The ACT indicator light does not flash after the fiber optic cable is connected
★ Check if the TX and RX interfaces of the fiber optic cable are properly connected?
★Check if the optical module is matched?
★ Check whether the fiber cable matches the optical module (multi-mode or single-mode)?
